Building Self Confidence

Building Self-Confidence is designed to help build an awareness of the issues surrounding self-esteem and how it affects our lives. The program will discuss the definition of self-esteem, self-confidence, what it is, how it affects our lives and the step-by-step approaches necessary to developing it.

The program will cover the differences between healthy and unhealthy self-esteem and how our values, beliefs and self-talk effect the development of self-esteem.

The dangers of negative self-talk will be examined and ways will be suggested in which patterns of low self-esteem and negative self-talk can be changed to improve self-confidence and personal values. Assertiveness and developing healthy boundaries can help improve the quality of all your relationships.

The goals of Building Self-Confidence are:
1. To provide a safe environment for participants to explore and share their feelings, fears and doubts;
2. To help expand individual coping skills;
3. To help eliminate the affects of criticism, doubt, worry and negativity;
4. To strengthen self-image and self-confidence
5. To allow each member to find their own unique pathway to self-confidence.
