A nationally standardized workshop to reduce stigma and enhance understanding of mental health in the workplace. This workshop provides participants a holistic understanding of mental health and mental illness. It is made up of four modules, touching on awareness building, responding skills, and collaborative change. It discusses the social determinants of health, and how mental health fits in to the context of overall health.
The workshop promotes positive mental health for all, and effectively reduces the stigma around mental illnesses. Participants will learn practical skills to help address mental health problems at work.
Participants will have contact with employees who work and live with a mental illness, either live or through video. This workshop is highly interactive, with activities and discussion throughout.
Formats for Mental Health Works:
Mental Health Works is a highly flexible program which allows for you to determine the best fit for your organization or agency. It is comprised of four modules which can be offered as a one-day training, or these modules can be broken down into differing combinations to meet your scheduling or fiscal limitations or focus in on specific components you feel to be most valuable.
Given the flexibility of the program and the various combinations of learning opportunities, the Product Suite Catalogue can be provided for your review. The Product Suite Catalogue contains detailed information about formats, learning objectives, fees, etc.
This product is also intended to be a supportive training in the context of a ‘family’ of trainings including programs which focus on Psychological Health and Safety Standards, increased depth of knowledge around mental illness, and information on suicide awareness and prevention to name a few.
