Who we are

The Canadian Mental Health Association is the provincial leader and champion for mental health. CMHA of NB helps people access the community resources they need to build resilience and support recovery from mental illness.

CMHA of NB is working hard to raise awareness on mental health and provide education on mental illness which in turn helps remove the stigma so people reach out for support without discrimination.

We feel a positive shift in society but there is still much work to do. We are committed to providing quality programs and services and are determined to promote our vision of mentally healthy people in a healthy society.

Message from Christa Baldwin, Executive Director
Canadian Mental Health Association of NB

I have been a part of the Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick for close to 10 years and am very proud to be associated with such a wonderful organization.  The vision of CMHA of NB is “mentally healthy people in a healthy society.”  We work towards this vision in the hope that we can make meaningful differences in the lives of those living with mental illness and their families.  We also endeavour to promote mental wellness in our communities and work towards the elimination of stigma through education and awareness.

The reach of CMHA of NB extends across the whole province.  Our wonderful, committed, and well-trained staff provide a wide-range of mental health and mental illness-related support, programming, training, and events throughout the entire province in both official languages.  We are also proud of our many partnerships with government, non-profit organizations, community groups, and the private sector.  Working collaboratively allows us to extend the reach and impact of our services.

I hope you will join us in working towards achieving our vision of mentally healthy people in a healthy society.
