Brush off the rocks and join us in celebrating our longest running fundraiser, Curl for Mental Health! The event will be Saturday, March 23, 2024 at TSA Curling Club in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick, Saint John office. Whether you’re an experienced curler or a first timer, no experience necessary to have a rockin’ good time! All ages are welcome!
Four-person teams are required, only $250 per team (including $50 registration fee*) and pledge forms are available upon registration. Teams will play two four-end games and pizza is provided.
Events like Curl for Mental Health help increase public awareness, reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and provide an opportunity to fundraise the needed funds for our much-needed community programs and services. Our programs provide individuals with the tools they need to improve their mental health as well as resources for those who are struggling with mental illness in our community. With your help we can send the message to the public about the importance of mental health, through this day of entertainment and fun!
Mental health and physical health are fundamentally linked – regular physical activity improves psychological well-being and can help reduce the symptoms of depression and anxiety in some people. CMHA of NB aims to address all aspects of mental health / wellness, and mental illness. 1 in 5 Canadians will personally experience a mental illness in their lifetime. But the reality is, 5 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental health issue at some point in their life. We all should practice good mental and physical health for a healthier society!
*Please note, the $50 registration fee is not eligible for a tax receipt.
