Wednesdays, March 16 to May 4
9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Although the long-term consequences of this pandemic are still unknown, a large portion of the population will and have experienced loss whether due to Covid or other causes. With recurrent lockdowns, ever-changing restrictions and guidelines, and systemic changes to how we publicly and privately mourn, it is important to recognize that many people will develop Complicated Grief.
This eight-week program will provide support to those who have experienced loss over the course of the pandemic and will explore normal grief responses versus complicated grief; myths and facts about grief; health implications of complicated grief; coping strategies and resilience building skills; when to seek further help; memories and rituals; and more.
This is a support/psycho-educational group and is not intended to replace individual therapy. In order to register, participants must not be experiencing psychosis, sever depressive episode, or suicidality.
