Colton’s Story:
My name is Colton Tasse and I am recovering drug addict. I went through many traumas that aided in my drug use but it’s not my fault I am like this. I was born an addict. Same as my father.
My father left when I was 3. That was one of the most damaging events of my childhood. He was in and out for a year or 2 but after that he was gone.
I went to rehab in June 2017. I only went for court reasons, so I took nothing serious. I got out and 2 weeks later was using again. I went back April 2019 by my choice.
I finished the program in September 2019 and since then have been sober from hard drugs. Things have definitely gotten better but I still have my challenges that I face on a daily basis. I have goals and this to look forward to. Like my baby boy coming October 2020!
Things do get better.

I don’t like to say, I wish I could’ve, you know
I don’t like to say, oh f*ck I was in an institution
What could I have done better?
I’m gonna do what the f*ck I want, when I want to
Because I’m gonna do what I couldn’t while I could
Losing myself yeah lately
I wish the drugs would save me
I’m driving myself crazy
Seeing how you’ve replaced me
Lost now
Taking these drugs together woo
Disappointed but you can’t stay down
Lonely so you want me to stay now
I don’t wanna get played now but
I’m tired of being alone
You constantly hitting up my phone
Gone to the dome wanna go home
Stick to what you know stick to what you’re told
Save yourself from brains being blown
Cause one day everyone’s gonna go
Not about sex, drugs, or the flow
One thing that helps when you low
Tired of putting shit up my nose
One in the chamber and it’s gonna blow
Don’t let me go, don’t let me go
Losing myself lately
I wish the drugs would save me
I’m driving myself crazy
Seeing how you’ve replaced me
This is a message and a call for help
I need someone cause I lost myself
Slowly losing my mental health
My head is a cage, just let me out
Let me out
Losing myself yeah lately
I wish the drugs would save me
I’m driving myself crazy
Seeing how you’ve replaced me
Let me out, let me out, let me out
Let me out, let me out, let me out
Let me out, let me out, let me out
Let me out, let me out, let me out
Let me out, let me out, let me out
Let me out, let me out, let me out
